Although you may have heard me drop the “e-bomb” in earlier features, today we showcase a genuine emo band - Mineral - who released two classic and highly-influential albums in the late nineties.

#14: The Microphones

This week we’ll be talking about the Washington-based band The Microphones, headed by Phil Elvrum, which has had several other band names (Mount Eerie, Phil Elvrum, etc). Their most well-known album, The Glow Pt. 2, was reissued last year.
